We are pleased to announce that we are winners of the Best Collaboration Project Award at the Private Healthcare Awards 2025!

The successful partnership between xWave Technologies, Medica (Ireland) and the Health Service Executive, where xWave deployed xWave Refer, our order comms + CDS platform, to Irish GPs in order to deliver high quality radiology referrals to the Medica imaging centre in Arklow.

96% referral appropriateness and zero rejected referrals meant huge time savings for both GPs and radiology teams. Demonstrating that integrating CDS directly into referral workflows significantly improves imaging appropriateness, most importantly this means patients getting the best test first. A brilliant example of public and private healthcare working together to improve patient outcomes.
