xWave wins major contract with Yorkshire Imaging Collaborative to deliver Clinical Decision Support across one of the UK’s largest imaging networks.

xWave Technologies today announced that it has been awarded a major contract with the Yorkshire Imaging Collaborative (YIC), one of the largest and most advanced regional imaging networks in the United Kingdom. The partnership will see xWave’s Clinical Decision Support (CDS) solution deployed across YIC’s network of 24 hospitals, supporting clinicians in delivering safer, more consistent, and more efficient diagnostic care for patients across Yorkshire.

The Yorkshire Imaging Collaborative brings together six NHS Trusts serving a population of more than 2.7 million people, with a shared ambition to modernise and harmonise imaging services across one of the largest geographical footprints of any imaging network in the UK. By adopting xWave CDS, YIC will strengthen clinical quality, reduce unwarranted variation and enhance the diagnostic experience for the millions of people it serves. The platform will provide clinicians with real‑time, RCR iRefer and localised guideline aligned support at the point of referral, while giving the network greater visibility into referral patterns, imaging demand and opportunities to improve pathways.

Gary Cooper, Programme Manager at Yorkshire Imaging Collaborative at Yorkshire Imaging Collaborative commented, “Our mission is to deliver a consistent, high‑quality imaging service for every patient across our region, regardless of where they enter the system. xWave’s technology will support clinicians in making evidence‑based imaging decisions and help us strengthen clinical governance, reduce variation and modernise the diagnostic experience for both clinicians and patients. This partnership represents an important step forward in our long‑term strategy to deliver a unified, data‑driven imaging service across Yorkshire.”

xWave Technologies said the partnership represents a significant milestone in its work to support integrated imaging networks across the UK and Ireland. The company highlighted YIC’s leadership in driving collaborative transformation and its commitment to delivering a consistent, high‑quality radiology service across a large and diverse geography. xWave CGO, Stefan McDonald said, “The Yorkshire Imaging Collaborative is one of the most forward‑thinking imaging networks in the country, and we are incredibly proud to be supporting its next phase of transformation. xWave CDS is designed to help clinicians make the best possible decisions for patients while giving networks the insights they need to continually improve pathways and outcomes. This is exactly the kind of ambitious, system‑wide collaboration our platform was built to enable.”

Amanda Wells, Head of iRefer at the Royal College of Radiologists “We are delighted to see the Yorkshire Imaging Collaborative advancing its Clinical Decision Support journey. The adoption of CDS, supported by iRefer’s evidence based guidance, will help clinicians optimise and justify imaging referrals, improving patient experience and supporting the effective use of radiology services. We welcome xWave’s work in enabling this next step for YIC, and we look forward to supporting the network as it continues to enhance pathways and reduce variation across the region.”

This contract builds on xWave’s growing presence across the UK, following recent deployments with NHS Trusts in Greater Manchester, the Northeast of England, and multiple Irish hospital groups. xWave CDS is now supporting clinicians across hundreds of sites, helping health systems reduce unnecessary imaging, improve diagnostic accuracy, and accelerate time to diagnosis.
