Welcoming Kerry to our team!

We’re delighted to welcome Kerry Mills to xWave Technologies as our National Lead for Strategic Partnerships and Diagnostic Engagement.

Kerry joins us at an exciting stage of growth and will play a key national role in strengthening strategic partnerships across the NHS and strategic partner organisations, supporting diagnostic transformation, and helping organisations use real-world evidence to drive service improvement, benefits realisation, and better outcomes for patients and healthcare professionals.

As an HCPC‑registered diagnostic radiographer with nearly 30 years of experience spanning clinical practice, leadership, education and national workforce transformation, Kerry's career has taken her from frontline imaging services to senior regional and national leadership roles, shaping policy, strategy and workforce development across complex healthcare systems.

Most recently, Kerry held a national strategic leadership role within NHS England, focused on workforce, training and education across the cancer and diagnostics workforce. Her work has supported national priorities, strengthened diagnostic capacity, and enabled more sustainable, future‑focused services across England.

Throughout her career, Kerry has been recognised for her ability to bring people together across professions, pathways and organisations. Often described as a “critical connector”, she has led major programmes of strategic stakeholder engagement, workforce transformation and education strategy at both regional and national level. Her leadership style is grounded in collaboration, credibility and a deep commitment to meaningful, sustainable improvement.

Kerry brings a strong academic and professional interest in leadership development and the future of diagnostic services. She is currently completing a Professional Doctorate exploring self‑perceptions of leadership among Radiology Service Managers in England, and is a regular national and international speaker on diagnostic workforce transformation, leadership and service development. Her passion for partnership working, innovation and system‑wide progress aligns closely with xWave’s mission to support safer, more efficient and more appropriate diagnostics across the UK and Ireland.

Kerry shared, "What attracted me to xWave was not only the organisation’s ambition and innovation, but also the strong values, credibility and collaborative culture that clearly sit at the heart of the team. The recent AXREM Team of the Year recognition further reflected the type of organisation I wanted to join, and I’m excited to bring my experience in diagnostics, leadership and partnership working to support xWave’s continued growth and impact.”

We’re thrilled to welcome Kerry to the team and look forward to the expertise, leadership and energy she will bring as we continue to work with partners to transform imaging and diagnostic pathways.
